Cleaning your Cushion

Who's in the cushion foundation fan club like me?
Here's a little history.... I started off using the CC cream from etude house when I just started doing my makeup. Why I choose CC cream? Coz I think that it covers everything and the easiest to use. But no...I was wrong until I started using my very first cushion foundation from AprilSkin, that's when I realized, cushion is more convenient.
After using your cushion for let's say...1mth plus, you would realize that it is getting pretty 'dirty' looking like this!

Before washing

It kinda..turns me off especially when you see small black thread like thing on it. it is not worm/insect. it is just.....air particles.

So....let's start cleaning. For this, You would just need your cushion pad, facial wash(best not oil based) and a tap for running water.

Step 1 Rinse your cushion under running water and make sure the whole thing is wet

Step 2: Squeeze a bit of facial wash on the top of the cushion. I used EH baking powder foam cleanser but you can use your own. 

Step 3: In a pressing down motion, rub the cushion back and font. squeezing it a little. You will see the foundation struck inside coming out. See the next few images.

Step 4: when your fingers looked it is like coated in the foundation, rinse the cushion under running water and continue squeezing to get rid of the residue.

Step 5: Repeat step 3 and 4 until the water runs clear. Timing wise, it really depends on how choked up the cushion is. I wash mine every 3mths and take about 5mins.

Step 6: Hang the cushion to dry. Do not clip on the cushion itself, clip to the band that you use to hold to prevent the cushion from turning flat.

And...Tada! you're done!
